It’s nice to know that we can keep our biodegradable food scraps for the composter without ruining the look — and smell — of our kitchens. These cute ceramic crocks are just the right size kitchen compost container for any counter and their sleek look will fit in to almost any decor.
These kitchen compost containers are glazed both inside and out, and won’t ever stain or absorb food odors. These little honeys have activated-carbon filter to trap odors.
Here are the facts of the Kitchen Compost Crock:
# Choose from Brilliant White, Cobalt Blue or Red
# Can be used with 100% biodegradable Biobag Liners
# Dishwasher-safe
# Smooth sides won’t trap waste
# Includes two carbon filters that last up to two months each
# Replacement Filters are also available
As you can see the Kitchen Compost Crock comes in three different colors, blue, red and white. How patriotic!

We’ve used a little food scraps bin on the kitchen counter for a couple of years now and they work really well. You no longer feel so guilty throwing food away.
But if you put meat waste into the bin be careful to only out it on a compost that is some distance from your house as it will attract rats.

That’s awesome! That’s the one thing that keeps me far far away is the horrendous smell. Thanks.

These bins look interesting. But what I would like to know is whether the carbon filter is really necessary. I mean you would fill one of those bins in a couple, or three days, which is hardly time for bad odours to start forming. When full I guess you would transfer to a compost heap or bigger bin outdoors. Wouldn’t a small plastic bin be just as good?

they should make a kitchen composter that is in the shape of a big chef’s head so you can just throw your food waste in his mouth.

Not bad, a good review and they’re only $29.95. Their shape and features are good and it may be useful, because some containers absorb the odor and then it becomes really difficult so we’ve to wash it.

The containers looks nice, I have one remark: time for composting is at least 4 months, depending on composted materials.
