Eco friendly Method All Purpose cleaner is one I have been using for a couple of years now. I first tried it as a kind of experiment. I had been using Fantastic cleaner but wanted to try something that was better for the environment, so I gave method a shot.
Well, to say I was surprised at how well it worked is an understatement. It is by far the best cleanser I have ever had and the fact that it’s an eco friendly cleaning option just makes it all the better.
The all purpose Method Cleaner comes in several different scents, there is the fragrance free variety, as well as cucumber, lavender, cucumber and my personal favorite pink grapefruit.
You can literally use it on any surface, when Method cleaners day all purpose they mean it. I’ve used it on glass, counter tops, sinks, the floor, the walls and everything in between, I live by it.
But what’s even more important than the fact this cleaner works so well is how eco friendly it is. There are no phosphates in it and every single one of their ingredients are non corrosive, non toxic as well as biodegradable. So when the cleaner does do down the drain it is not going to hurt the environment at all.
One last thing about Method All Purpose Cleaner and I promise I’ll shut up. Since they aren’t toxic or anything like that, you never have to worry about rinsing your counters or anything else off after you use it. This cuts your work in half just like that. See why I’m such a fan?

I’m going to try it. I’ve been through the “green” version of Fantastic, and a number of others and not been happy with how well they work. They all smell good but some are just not powerful enough to get the job done.

18 Gaston and Marie from Toys Period // Jan 9, 2010 at 1:50 am
Marie and I read of a new way to clean laundry that is going to be introduced in thousands of laundromats next year.
The process uses nylon pellets.
The pellets allow for the use of one tenth the water to do 45 pounds of laundry.
With the current technology, 80 gallons of water are necessary to get 45 pounds of laundry clean. With the new process, only 8 gallons of water will be used.
Evidently the pellets lock in grime and can be used for quite some time before having to be replaced.
The 8 gallons of water allow for the humidity necessary to unlock the osmotic quality of the pellets.
The process works on a double drum mechanism.
When both drums are operating, the pellets travel from the outer to the inner drum thus coming in contact with the clothes to be cleaned.
Then when the out drum stops and the inner drum continues, the pellets are thrown back out to the outer drum and, voila, the clothes are clean.
The mechanism won’t be available to the general public next year to our knowledge.
However, once it is, we are wondering what the big domestic soap companies are going to do in response.
After all TIDE underwrites the soap operas. That’s how they got their name.
Many can’t survive without those, so it will be interesting to watch the environmental soap opera between day time TV vs eco responsibility play out for all the world to see.

Thanks for that, I hate chemicals and have been using baking soda to do a lot of my cleaning, and although it is non toxic it sometimes doesn’t really get all the grime out.
I have been looking into a few alternatives and this looks great
Cheers
