And nature will survive the changes we are throwing at it right now. However, there is certainly no guarantee that humans will be able to cope with the changes as fast as they appear to be coming. We seem to have very short memories when it comes to the world in which we live. We tend to believe that the current temperatures have always been around. Look back a few hundred years and you'll see natural occurances caused a mini-ice age that killed thousands, maybe millions, by starvation. If we continue our short sighted ways we will back ourselves into a corner without enough time to adapt.
